Less than 3 miles away from your VIP Orlando Villa is the Osceola Flea and Farmers Market. They have around 900 booths where you can buy antiques and collectables, new and used goods, Florida souvenirs and fresh fruit and vegetables. The Market is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am until 5pm. www.osceolafleanadfarmersmarket.com

The Farmer’s Market at Toho Square in Downtown Kissimmee is a great place to shop for all of your fresh fruit and vegetables. They are held every Thursday from 7a.m. till 1 p.m. www.kissimmeefarmersmarket.com

Restaurants, Eating In and Eating Out

Our VIP Orlando Villa has a fully equipped kitchen for your convenience. However, for the days that you do not want to cook, Chinese, Indian and pizza deliveries are only a phone call away from your holiday home. Either at, or opposite, the entrance to Magic Landings are fast-foods such as KFC, Burger King and Taco Bell, or for a family meal, restaurants such as Denny’s, IHOP and Waffle House. For something a little more special, an excellent steak and a warm welcome can be found at the Kissimmee Steak House directly opposite Magic Landings.

Relaxation and Leisure Time

The Magic Landings community is surrounded by beautiful countryside, parks, lakes and ranches, providing a peaceful tranquility away from the theme parks. There are numerous outdoor activities such as golf, fishing, horse riding, swimming and nature trails.

For a family day out, most parks and lakes have picnic areas with barbeque grills, playgrounds, horse riding, hiking, bike trails and volleyball, or of course you could simply have a lazy day in the sun.

Green Meadows Petting Farm

A great day out for all the family is Green Meadows Petting Farm. There are more than 300 animals here waiting to be stroked, fed and photographed. Price of admission includes a 2 hour guided tour. Osceola Heritage Park

A 120 acre multi-purpose complex which is home to the Silver Spurs Arena, Exhibition Buildings, KVLS (Kissimmee Valley Livestock Show) Pavilions and the Osceola County Stadium. It is the venue for numerous concerts, exhibitions, baseball, football and hockey games and the famous Silver Spurs Rodeo.

Previously, shows for the kids have included Sesame Street Live and My Little Pony, and for the adults, stars such as Bob Dylan, Deff Leoppard, Willie Nelson and Bobby Valentino have performed there. Silver Spurs Rodeo

For Rodeo fun, the Silver Spurs Arena is right opposite Magic Landings, where you can watch real life rodeo stars competing for prestigious prizes. The Silver Spurs Rodeo is held twice a year in October and February. It is great fun for all the family and good value for money. Drive-In-Movie

A unique American experience. You’ve seen it on the movies, now you can get to visit one in real life. Located in Lakeland, around a 20-30 minute drive from Magic Landings you will find Silver Moon Drive-In. Two screens showing four films per night. www.silvermoondrivein.com

Fishing

If you enjoy fishing, Magic Landings is the perfect area to stay. Enveloped by six lakes, with Lake Tohopekaliga (otherwise known as Lake Toho), being the biggest of all at 12 miles by 2 miles and 15ft deep, more than 33,000 Bass, some weighing more than 10lb are caught every year.

Florida's Cocoa Beach

Magic Landings is located less than a mile from the Florida Turnpike. Beautiful beaches such as Cocoa Beach and Melbourne Beach are less than 1 hours drive away.

Medical, Dental and Emergency Services

Of course, we certainly hope you will never require any of these services, but for peace of mind it is good to have this information, which is also provided in your vacation home.

Medical Insurance — Please ensure that you have full medical cover whilst in Florida. Medical treatment is very expensive in the United States.

For general medical problems it is advised that you first speak to a pharmacist. The majority of pharmacists are very good and could save you a trip to the medical centres.

The closest Walk-in Medical Center is along Hwy 192, toward the Turnpike, within 10 minutes of Magic Landings.

Coastal Dental for any dental emergencies is right next door to the medical center, as is the Pharmacy.

The closest hospital is the Florida Hospital on the North Orange Blossom Trail and is just 4 miles from your holiday villa.

In an emergency dial 911 for Fire/Police/Ambulance and give the address of your Villa. The full address will be on your booking form and also in your ‘Welcome Pack’ at the Villa.

Special Needs and Disabled Visitors

There are many companies that can provide almost any type of equipment you may need whilst on your dream vacation, including car and van hire, wheelchairs, scooters, buggies, ramps, shower chairs, lifts, oxygen and almost anything else you could think of to make your stay in Orlando more comfortable. The majority of these companies will also deliver to your door.

All foreign disabled parking permits are valid in the theme parks and shopping malls and the designated parking areas are clearly signposted.

Disneyworld, SeaWorld, Discovery Cove and Universal Studios all cater extremely well for disabled visitors, as do the water parks. When you arrive at the parks visit their Guest Services to receive detailed information about the particular park you are in.

It is possible to rent wheelchairs at all of the major theme parks. However, the hire of wheelchairs is only for that park for that day and are available on a first come first served basis. The hire prices in the parks can vary so it is advisable to take a look at each park’s web site for individual pricing.
